A traffic stop in Ravenden on Monday night has landed two men in the Lawrence County Detention Center. Ravenden Police initiated a routine traffic stop on a pickup truck with no vehicle license at the intersection of Betty Street and Simmington. According to Chief McComas of the Ravenden Police Department the vehicle did not immediately stop raising suspicion. When the vehicle finally stopped, a male passenger later identified as Jehoshuah Bushong, 34 years old of Ravenden exited the vehicle and fled on foot. At that time a Lawrence County Deputy in the area assisted with the incident. Bushong was tazed while attempting to evade law enforcement and refusing to comply with officers, he was arrested and charged with fleeing on foot and refusing to submit to arrest.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, he was identified as Dillan Stover, 25 years old of Imboden. Stover and Bushong were transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center to await bond hearings and court dates.
The vehicle was removed from the scene by Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden.
