Henry Boyce, Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, announced today the addition of Jerrod Slayton as a new Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Third District. Â Slayton, 31, of Jonesboro was sworn in by Third Judicial District Circuit Judge Harold S. Erwin in the Jackson County courtroom Monday afternoon.
​Slayton is a graduate of the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law and has been a licensed attorney for five years.  He began his practice in Fayetteville and returned home to Northeast Arkansas where he maintains a private practice as well as now serving as a part-time deputy prosecutor. Â
​Boyce said, “I am very proud to bring Jerrod into service of the people of the Third Judicial District.  He is a seasoned attorney who brings character to the task.â€
