At 11:33 am on Friday, April 13th, Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a two vehicle accident at Hwy 63/63b in Hoxie. The Hoxie Fire Department was already in route after receiving a public service call reporting the accident. Walnut Ridge Fire Department was requested to the scene for additional extracation both Hoxie fire and Walnut Ridge fire performed extracation on two individuals to remove them from the wreckage. Multiple medical helicopters were requested to the scene as well as ambulances. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies, Hoxie, and Walnut Ridge police assisted, Arkansas State Police investigated the accident.
Louvell Duncan, age 85, of Swifton, AR was killed in the crash.
