Shortly before 4:00 pm on Sunday, Lawrence County Dispatch paged the Black Rock Fire Department to a head on accident between Black Rock and Powhatan on Hwy. 25. Reports from the scene stated two people were trapped with injuries.
The Lynn Fire Department was requested for mutual aid and responded with two rescue trucks at the scene. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene along with Arkansas State Police. Two people were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. Highway 25 was closed for approximately an hour. Cook’s wrecker service was requested to the scene. The Arkansas State Police are conducting the investigation into the crash. Names and conditions of those injured in the crash have yet to be released pending conclusion of the investigation.
