At 1:56 pm Lawrence County dispatch put deputies and medical units on standby as a pursuit from Jackson and Independence counties entered Lawrence County.  Lawrence County deputies , Arkansas State Police, and multiple units from Jackson and Independence county attempted to stop an f-150 pick up truck with a subject driving who had felony absconding warrants, the suspect was identified as Richard Cobb of 43 Ballpark Road, Strawberry, AR.

Units followed the vehicle from Lawrence 319 to highway 25 where deputies reported the suspect was driving recklessly and on the wrong side of the road, running multiple vehicles off the road.  Other units from Lawrence County and a unit from the Ravenden PD converged on the area as the suspect who was familiar with the area turned on numerous roads in Strawberry trying to evade police.

At 2:08 pm spike strips were set up by the Arkansas State Police in Strawberry as the pursuit circled and came back towards the town.  The suspect drove around the spikes strips and avoided them. He then started back down hwy 25 towards Jackson County. The chase continued on Lawrence 333. Multiple units converging on the area then set up more spike strips at multiple intersections as the chase continued.  The suspect then turned on Lawrence 352 where at 2:11 pm Independence county stated he bailed from his vehicle on a farm road and fled on foot. At 2:21 pm Jackson county officers reported the suspect to be hiding in a chicken house. At 2:25 pm Independence county reported the suspect was in custody at 183 Lawrence 352.  Cobb will be returned to Jackson County to face formal charges. No injuries were reported in the incident.
