Friday afternoon the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a vehicle that had rolled into Portia Bay off of Lawrence 500. The driver stated he got out of the vehicle at the boat ramp after it nearly rolled over him as he exited to observe the water.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Cook’s Wrecker were dispatched to assist. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team assisted Cook’s in locating the submerged vehicle and hooking the vehicle up.
No injuries were reported, Cook’s removed the vehicle and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.
