Corey Willfond of Walnut Ridge was arrested on September 27th by the Jonesboro Police Department at a convenience store on Magnolia Road.
On September 25th Willfond allegedly forged a check at Big Al’s convenience store then returned on the 27th and wrote a second check on a closed account. He returned later that same day and attempted to cash a third check.
A cashier working at the convenience store called Jonesboro Police, officers quickly arrived and arrested Corey Willfond who was still at the store. When officers searched Willfond they found a bag containing .5 grams of meth. Willfond was charged with second degree forgery, theft of $1000 or less and possession of meth less than two grams.
Willfond had a bond hearing and a circuit court date set for October 31st.
