Multiple Accidents Reported After Storms Move Through Lawrence County
Shortly after 5 pm on Friday severe thunderstorms moved through Lawrence County making driving hazardous and being a factor in several accidents reported across the county.
Alicia Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident at mile marker 116 on Hwy 67 that resulted in vehicle damage but no injuries during the storms. The Walnut Ridge Police Department also worked an accident near the Hwy 67 and 412 overpass, Ray J’s Wrecker responded and removed that vehicle. Black Rock Fire, Black Rock Police and AET Ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident at the Rest Area on Hwy 63, no injuries were reported in that incident.
At 5:57 pm the Imboden and Ravenden Volunteer Fire Departments along with a medical unit from AET Ambulance were dispatched to a one vehicle accident between Imboden and Ravenden, The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, Air bags were deployed in the accident but no injuries were reported. Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate the accident. Imboden Fire Department assisted with traffic. Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was dispatched to the scene to remove the vehicle.
