At approximately 12:20pm a Lawrence County deputy and the LCSO Dive Team were dispatched to  county road 514 on the 507 end where two people were trapped in a vehicle that had water up to the doors.
Dive team members rescued the female driver and male passenger from the vehicle. also in the scene were Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy, Â Hoxie Police Department, Hoxie Fire Department, Arkansas State Police, and AET ambulance.
The Arkansas State Police arrested the female driver on suspicion of DWI.
The couple stated they were headed to the liquor store before the vehicle submerged and they couldn’t get the windows down on the vehicle.
