On January 23, 2017 Donald Atkinson 40 of Hoxie was arrested for Failing to Comply with Sex Offender Registration and Reporting Requirements. The arrest came after an investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department into Atkinson’s living arrangements.
Atkinson is required by the State of Arkansas to report his address to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department to be registered with the state’s central registry. Investigators found Atkinson to have moved from his registered address on more than one occasion and his current residence not registered.
A probable cause affidavit was presented to a Lawrence County District Judge and a warrant was issued for Atkinson. He is currently in the Lawrence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
