At 10:25 pm on Wednesday night the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the 1000 block of West River Drive in Strawberry.
The caller indicted a victim had been stabbed in the groin with a knife and was bleeding bad. Lawrence County Deputies responded and AET Ambulance was put on standby until the scene could be deemed safe by law enforcement.
Lawrence County Deputies arrived on scene and at 10:50 pm a subject had been detained and the medical unit was told the scene was safe. AET arrived at the residence to assess the victim.
The victim was transported to White River Medical Center for treatment of what was called non life threatening injuries.
At 11:27 pm once white male was arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. The identity of the suspect has not been released at this time as deputies are still on scene conducting their investigation.
