24 year old Dusten Haynes was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail after an incident on Sunday October 30th in the Imboden area.
The incident began after a report of a suspicious vehicle being in the Hope Cemetery. Lawrence County Deputies responded and searched the area for the vehicle, deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspicious vehicle in an alley around Main Street.
As officers attempted to make contact with the vehicle it fled back towards Hwy 63 where it nearly caused an accident entering the highway. Deputies notified the Lawrence County Dispatch that they were in pursuit of the vehicle, other deputies and Arkansas State Police were notified of the event and responded. The vehicle traveled south out of Imboden for several miles before turning on Clear Springs Road (Law.219). Deputies followed the vehicle to a mobile home on Clear Springs where the subject exited the vehicle, refusing to comply to commands from officers and entered the mobile home.
Officers then entered the mobile home and were told by the resident that the suspect was hiding in a bedroom. After a brief encounter with the suspect, 24 year old Dusten Haynes was arrested and charged with Careless and Prohibited Driving, Felony Fleeing and Driving on Suspended or Revoked Drivers License. Haynes was taken to the Lawrence County Jail for a Bond Hearing and court date to be set.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
