A new magazine ranking shows Williams Baptist College to be a good buy in higher education.
Washington Monthly has released its annual College Guide and rankings list, which rates schools based on how they contribute to the country. Williams landed 12th on the “Best Bang for Your Buck – South,†list, beating out other Arkansas schools and several widely known universities.
“We are very gratified by the Washington Monthly ranking, because it points out the value of a Williams Baptist College education,†said Dr. Tom Jones, WBC president.
“At a time when families are increasingly concerned about college expenses, Williams provides a high quality education, personal attention and a decidedly Christian atmosphere, all at a cost that is among the lowest of any private college in the country.â€
Washington Monthly is a Washington, D.C.-based media outlet. Its rankings are compiled based on school costs, graduation rates, performance, and several other factors.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college in Walnut Ridge, Ark. It is owned and operated by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.
