Authorities from New Philadelphia Ohio have released information on a rape suspect tracked to Pocahontas. According to reports, Miguel Solis Garcia (alias) was arrested in Randolph County on Saturday night after Ohio authorities received a tip that the suspect may possibly be in the Pochaontas/Randolph County area.
Ohio authorities contacted Randolph County authorities who tracked down the suspect. Garcia is accused of raping a 12 year old female, suspect was identified by a distinct tattoo of a cross and rosary on his left hand. Miguel Solis Garcia is believed to be an alias, the person is believed to be an illegal immigrant who’s identity has not been revealed. DNA and fingerprinting is expect to help identify his involvement with this case and possible connection with other cases.
Garcia is currently being held in the Randolph County Jail and expected to be returned to Ohio next week.
