Our bats and honey bees are an invaluable resource to Arkansans. Join us in discovering the vast potential impacts of losing these animals on the ecosystem, economy, and our everyday lives. Also, discover ways you can aid in their continued survival.
Nature Center Exploration 1pm-3pm Nature Center
Come self-explore our Nature Center and learn about some of the unique wildlife in your area. Our park interpreter will be there to help answer any questions you may have and give impromptu programs. Animals include turtles, frogs, snakes, and more.
Creature Feature 3pm-4pm Nature Center
Join the park interpreter in taking an in depth look at one of our resident park animals. Learn about a unique animal around you using living animals, skins and furs, bones and skulls, and/or other mediums to better understand the creatures around us.

AR’s Venomous Snakes
Not every snake in Arkansas is potentially dangerous. In fact, only 6 are venomous. Come find out easy ways to remember them and ways to tell them and other snakes apart. Also find out about some of the other snakes in Arkansas that are beneficial, but often harmed due to mistaken identity.

What’s All the Buzz About? 11am-12pm Nature Center
Insects have their own unique methods for sensing the world around them. Learn about how those methods are both similar and different from our own senses. Also, find out how they communicate with each other and different animals. By the end, you’ll know what all the buzz is about with insects.
