Members from Sloan-Hendrix Jr. High and Sr. High Colorguard Teams recently attended Frontlines Camp at Williams Baptist College. Hundreds of students from central and northeast AR attended the camp. This week-long camp held intensive training and practice sessions for the students, along with teaching new routines and moves. The students performed once, sometimes twice daily, receiving many individual blue and red ribbons. In addition to the ribbons, the Sloan-Hendrix team received two trophies on two of the routines they performed that week.
One being the highest award given for a home routine. Sheila Deshazo, the Music Department Instructor at Sloan-Hendrix took Bethany Deshazo, Skylia Lester, Blaze Hurt, Annie Doney, Lacey Davis, Mckenzie Boshears, Audra Scales, Sarah Scales, Blazey Rose, Rebecca Simington and Justice Bailey. You can watch the Colorguard perform during the 2016-17 school year at the home basketball games and several community events and Music Department events.
