Lawrence County Deputies responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at the Dollar General in Imboden Tuesday night shortly after 9 pm, a male subject described as Brandon Southerly of Butler County Missouri had allegedly been in an altercation with a female in the store parking lot, Deputies were advised the subject had weapons in the truck.

Southerly then left the store north bound on Hwy 63 in a white Chevrolet extended cab truck and fled to the Ravenden area. Shortly after the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a subject matching that description shooting a man at a residence just outside Ravenden in Sharp County, Ravenden Fire and a medical helicopter along with Spring River Ambulance were dispatched to the area, the victim was flown to an area hospital for treatment of a gun shot wound.

Units from Lawrence County, Sharp County and Arkansas State Police all converged on the area around Ravenden searching for the suspect. Shortly after 10 Pm the suspect was seen heading back towards the city of Ravenden. Units were advised the suspect pulled into the gas station at Ravenden where he backed his truck up to the building and was sitting in his vehicle. Law Enforcement surrounded the parking lot and ordered the suspect at gun point to exit the vehicle, after a brief standoff the suspect started the truck and sped out of the parking lot pass law enforcement and civilians in the area and turned north on Hwy 63.

At this time the pursuit involved Lawrence and Sharp County Sheriff’s Deputies, Arkansas State Police, Highland and Hardy City Officers. The pursuit continued north on Hwy 63 reaching speeds of over 100 mph. Spike strips were used unsuccessfully in the area of Water Wheel and a second set of strips was set up just before the city limits of Hardy but before the chase reached the second strips the suspect trove the truck off the roadway and into the brush on the roadside exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

Trains in the area were stopped as officers searched the area near the tracks and the surrounding wooded area. Search dogs were brought in from Calico Rock, a helicopter equipped with night vision was flown in by Arkansas State Police, Fulton County officers responded to assist as well.

After searching until after 4 am with no results, the search was called and later resumed on Wednesday morning. Officers from Sharp County are concentrating on the area around the Spring River after K-9 units led the officers several times to the river’s edge.

Brandon Southerly is described as a white male, 6’2” 155 pounds Blue Eyes, Blonde/Strawberry hair, DOB 7-22-1992. If you have any information you are urged to contact the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office. Southerly is considered Armed and Dangerous.
