Bottled Water To Be Provided To Ravenden Water Customers

Bottled water will be provided to customers of the Ravenden Water Department during regular business hours at the Ravenden City Hall.

The American Red Cross was contacted by State Rep. James Ratliff after he was contacted about the current boil order. City Officials stated they were experiencing a problem with their system and had connected the city’s supply to the Lawrence County Rural Water temporarily until repairs can be made.

Officials stated that some residents on Hwy 90 still out of water and others were experiencing low water pressure. More than 400 residences rely on the Ravenden Water System. The boil order is expected to be in effect for several more days and is believed to be more of a precaution for residents.
