At 7:23 am on Tuesday morning, the Lawrence County Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a one vehicle rollover on Hwy 63 near Lawrence 204 south of Imboden. Imboden Fire Department and an ambulance was paged to respond to the scene.

In just minutes firefighters were on scene requesting extrication tools and a medical helicopter respond to the accident. Imboden Rescue 4 with extrication tools responded and arrived on scene, firefighters removed the injured female from the vehicle. According to Fire Chief Jim Jones at 7:37 am the injured victim was out of the vehicle and in the ambulance awaiting the arrival of the helicopter. Firefighters then set up a landing zone next to the Imboden Fire Department, at 7:55 am the helicopter was spotted over Imboden in route to the landing zone.

The patient was transferred from the ambulance to the medical helicopter and flown to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. Firefighters reported the highway was not blocked by the accident. Officers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office along with the Arkansas State Police assisted at the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police, no word on the identity or extent of injuries to the victim. Firefighters were back in service shortly after 8 am.
