As weather conditions worsen on Tuesday evening, Imboden Volunteer Fire Department were called to an accident on Hwy 62 caused by slick conditions on the Eleven Point River Bridge, the accident had no injuries. Arkansas State Police worked the accident, Dail’s Wrecker Service was called to remove the vehicle.

At 7:45 pm the Imboden Volunteer Department was again called to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 63 with no injuries, as Imboden units responded firefighters witnessed yet another vehicle slide off into the ditch. Imboden units requested assistance from the Arkansas Hwy Depart.

Deputies responding from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reported several slick/covered roadways in the Black Rock area and advised that bridges were ice covered and slick.

Firefighters stopped traffic at what is known as Smith Curve on Hwy 63 just north of Imboden waiting on the Arkansas Highway Department to respond and treat the roadway.
