At 8:27 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call from witnesses to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 115 between Imboden and Annieville . The witness stated they were passed by the vehicle shortly before it crashed near Lawrence 129.
Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, AET Ambulance and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were all advised of the accident, Imboden was on scene at 8:40 pm with it’s Rescue 4 truck. A medical helicopter from Survival Flight was requested to land near the scene..
Firefighters from the Imboden Fire Department used extrication tools to remove the unconscious victim from the vehicle. At 8:53 pm the medical helicopter was in the area according to reports. At 8:57 pm the helicopter landed as the victim was being loaded in the ambulance to be transport to the helicopter. The medical helicopter lifted and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
The victims name was not released, the accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
