Lake Charles State Park

Lake Charles State Park Visitor Center is discounting merchandise for the holidays! Our most popular holiday sale items are the McCoy Knives made in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. We have McCoy knives ranging from $14 to $44, with the popular McCoy Classic at only $22.99. Small size Arkansas Sharp Stones will also be discounted to accompany your purchase. In addition to our McCoy Knives, all cookbooks and naturalist books will be discounted 20%.
Seasonal Hours from December to March 1st are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Saturday and Sunday, 1PM to 5PM.

Join Lake Charles State Park for the annual First Night Hike! What a great way to kick off your New Year’s resolution! Listen for night sounds and enjoy the stars as we hike Lake Charles. Program good for children and adults of all ages. Dress for the weather. Please call the park closer to time for details.
Basic Orienteering Class

$8.00 per participant, limit 10 per class.
9:00AM to 1:00PM
Learn how to use a map and compass through hands on training and activities. No experience necessary. There will be a beginner course with teams at the end of the workshop. Dress for the weather and for terrain. Reservations are required to attend.
