Shortly before 11 pm on Tuesday night the Lawrence County Dispatch received a call from 454 Lawrence 100 reporting a large storage building on fire at that residence, Ravenden Fire Department was paged and in route at 11 pm. The caller stated that the heat from the fire had melted paint off a nearby vehicle and damaged a livestock trailer.
Ravenden requested the assistance of Imboden, firefighters from Imboden were in route at 11:02 pm. Firefighters from Ravenden reported on scene at 11:04pm and stated other structures were in danger. A medical unit from AET Ambulance was requested to standby at the fire.
At 11:06 pm Ravenden requested a second truck from Imboden due to the large size of the fire. Imboden Engine 6 was sent to the scene behind Imboden Rescue 4. Ravenden had two trucks on scene and requested it’s tanker be brought to the scene. Imboden arrived on scene at 11:21 pm to assist.
The cause of the fire was not known, there were no injuries reported. Firefighters were on scene until well after midnight.
