On Saturday night, Ravenden Police Chief Tim McComas made a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding on Hwy 63 between Ravenden and Imboden.
The vehicle was driven by Darwin Holladay of Pittsburg California and occupied by 4 other occupants. The Ravenden officer requested back up from the Arkansas State Police who arrived on the scene within moments to assist the officer. During the stop the officer was granted permission to search the vehicle. The search of the suspects and the vehicle turned up marijuana.
Darwin Holladay was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and speeding, Holladay was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing and court date. Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was requested to the scene to tow the vehicle.
