At 10:59 am Saturday morning, the Lawrence County Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a semi truck that had overturned in the curve at Hwy 25 and Lawrence County Road 264.

The truck overturned while negotiating the curve spilling it’s load of chicken litter and blocking one lane of Hwy 25. Lynn Fire Department was paged to the scene along with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services. The driver was not injured, Lynn fire fighters were able to contain a small fuel and oil leak and keep traffic flowing using one lane of the highway.

Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was requested to the scene to remove the truck. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. By 1:00 pm the accident was cleared up along with the spilled load and traffic was flowing again on Hwy 25.
