At 9:22 am on Monday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a vehicle overturned in a field off Lawrence 138 near the Lawrence 106 intersection. Ravenden Firefighters responded and found the driver of the vehicle trapped inside with injuries. Medic One Ambulance was paged and responded to the scene. A medical helicopter was requested to the scene as well.
At 9:42 am Ravenden Firefighters requested the assistance of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, Rescue 4 and several firefighters responded to the accident. Unconfirmed reports from the scene stated the victim had been trapped in the car since sometime Sunday. A medical helicopter landed at Friendship Church, firefighters extricated the victim from the vehicle using rescue tools, transported the victim by ambulance from the accident scene to the landing zone.
The victim was flown to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. No reports on extent of injuries or the cause of the accident. For more information on the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department visit imbodenarkansas.com.
