On Thursday a Lawrence County Deputy observed James Rouse of Portia operating a motor vehicle near Alicia. Rouse was just in court last week on his 9th Driving On Suspended/Revoked Charge and was warned in open court not to be operating a motor vehicle or he was looking at a possible prison sentence.
Rouse was stopped by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy and arrested on his 10th charge of Driving On Suspended/Revoked and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Rouse has a lengthy criminal record with charges ranging from Burglary, Battery, Possession of Controlled Substance, Parole Violations and numerous traffic offenses totaling 41 bookings from Lawrence, Craighead and Greene Counties.
