At 7:35 pm on Saturday night the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident at Hwy 63 and Hendrix Street in Imboden. Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, AET Ambulance and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were all sent to the scene.
Firefighters arriving on scene reported there were no injuries but the vehicle had struck a power pole and a semi truck was tangled in the line. Power to Imboden was knocked out due to the race, Entergy was notified of the damage and outage.
The vehicle ended up in a wooded area after the accident. Thanks to Perry Hutton of Imboden for the photograph. Traffic was stopped for a while on Hwy 63 until the highway could be cleared. The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was on scene until 8:45 pm. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Imboden Fire was recalled to the scene around 10:15 pm to assist with traffic and was on scene until after 4 am Sunday when power was restored.
