Saturday night marked the conclusion of the week long events at the 2015 Lawrence County Fair and PRCA Rodeo in Imboden, Arkansas.
The Lawrence County Pageants and Talent show kicked off the weeks events. Congratulations to our new Miss Lawrence County Holly Looney and Jr. Miss Lawrence County Katelyn Jamison. In the Miss Lawrence County division  Brittney Gosha won Ms. Congeniality which was awarded by Mrs. Georgia Ratliff.
On Wednesday night a gospel singing and ice cream social was held in the Sloan-Hendrix New Gymnasium with the group 4-Given performing for the crowd.
The educational booths had many entries including cookie jars from the Cookie Jar Decorating Contest which funds the Lawrence County Fair scholarship.  The cookie jars are auctioned during the fair, and all proceeds will go to the fair scholarship fund where one student from each Lawrence County School is awarded each year.
*Just a reminder to take this year to work on entering exhibits in the fair next year. The fair is funded on how many entries are submitted.
The open cattle show was Thursday night and the livestock judging took place Friday morning.  Special thank you to Sally King for allowing us to use the great livestock photo’s she took on the fair website. Two year old Gauge Young, of Imboden took place in his first cow show this year.
The Lawrence County PRCA Rodeo took place Friday and Saturday night to huge crowds. The new metal bleachers for added seating were a great addition to the rodeo grounds.
The auto show took place on Saturday with a great turn out and many prizes given away.
Kenny’s Funland Carnival provided the rides, games, and some of the concessions for the fair this year. State Representative James Ratliff said they did a great job of cleaning up the fairgrounds.
