At 10:46 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle rollover on Lawrence 410 just outside Walnut Ridge. The caller stated the driver was still inside the vehicle and a strong odor of gas could be smelled.

Walnut Ridge Fire Department, Lawrence County Deputies assisted by Walnut Ridge Police, Medic One Ambulance and the Lawrence County Office of Emergency Service were all alerted to the accident. Firefighters arrived to find the male driver was out of the vehicle when they arrived. The truck was resting upside down in a ditch with a utility trailer partially on top of the underside of the truck. The trailer punctured the fuel tank during the wreck spilling fuel.

The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries, Cooks Wrecker Service removed the truck and trailer from the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
