Mayor Charles Snapp of Walnut Ridge announced that vandalism continues at Stewart Park. The City has been working to improve the park, as well as numerous volunteers, but individuals continue to destroy city property.
Sunday night after the Family Fun Day in the park, someone threw 3 picnic tables in the park pond. one of those tables is now broken.
last Friday night a vehicle cut donuts in the wet field by the water tower, leaving ruts to be repaired by tax payer dollars.
Mayor Snapp said they are working to repair  fields and get them prepared to offer soccer as an option for area youth and expand ball programs, yet as fast as the fields are worked on they are being damaged.
Mayor Snapp asks that citizens write down license plate numbers or use your camera phone and report vandalism.
Photos or information concerning the vandalism can be sent to Walnut Ridge City Hall through their Facebook page, or turn them over to City of Walnut Ridge Police to help us stop the vandalism in Stewart Park.
