imageImboden – Willma Gene Davis Hickman, age 79, of Imboden, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Home in Walnut Ridge. She was born September 16, 1935 to Ray and Bessie Griffith Davis in Bay, Arkansas. On November 29, 1955, she married John L. Hickman in Bay. Mrs. Hickman was an elementary school teacher for 37 years, with two years at Bay and 35 years at Sloan Hendrix School. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and a member of Westridge church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Hickman, her parents and one sister, Lillian Davis Richardson.

Survivors include: one son, Gordon Hickman and wife, Sharon, of Imboden; two daughters, Jonna Kincade and fiancee Jim Hacker of Imboden, Leslie Hickman-Fowler and husband Tommy of Jonesboro; two sisters, Alfreda Davis of Jonesboro, Loretta Hill of DuQuion, IL; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, at 10:00 a.m. in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Mitch Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be grandsons and family members.
