Civil War presentation
May 16, 1-2:30 p.m.
As part of the Watersheds of War: The Civil War on Arkansas’s Waterways series, Davidsonville Historic State Park will mark the last year of the Civil War sesquicentennial with a presentation titled Boats & Bayonets: The Civil War on the Black River. Very little has been written about the Civil War in northeast Arkansas, despite the area being greatly affected by it. Join park staff and learn what happened here during our country’s bloodiest conflict. A cannon firing demonstration will follow the presentation at 2 p.m. The event is free, but please call and register ahead of time at 870-892-4708.
