At 1:15 am on Saturday morning the Lawrence County Dispatch received a frantic call reporting a one vehicle accident in which a person was ejected from a vehicle in the area of 530 Lawrence 310 just outside Lynn. The Lynn Fire Department, AET Ambulance and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the scene.
Lynn Fire Department immediately called for a medical helicopter to respond to the area, Survival Flight was called and lifted off in route to the scene. At 1:32 am the Lynn Fire Department and Lawrence County Deputies were on scene, dispatchers from the Lawrence County Dispatch were still on the phone with the 911 caller getting vital information to the ambulance and responders. The caller advised that a possible altercation had taken place and the driver sped away from the residence and wrecked just down the road stating that they believed alcohol was involved.
The Lynn Volunteer Fire Department set up a landing zone in a field located close to the accident scene. AET Ambulance packaged the patient and moved to the landing zone where they met up with the medical helicopter from Survival Flight. No word on the extent of injuries, the injured was flown to St. Bernardâ€s Hospital for treatment. Law Enforcement, medical and Lynn Fire were back in service and clear from the scene at 2:15 am.
