Reports are coming in concerning a residence in Black Rock where nearly 30 dogs were found in one residence. An animal group from Jonesboro responded and requested Black Rock Police to assist to concerns of possible animal hoarding at the home.
Although nearly 30 dogs were allegedly in the home, reports are that only one sick animal was removed while steps were being taken to possibly relocate the remaining animals. According to Arkansas Angels For Animals a health concern for others in the home was one reason that law enforcement was brought into the situation.
The group stated that they use photos and networking to connect with others in the area about this type of problem. The group used the term of “hoarding†to describe this type of behavior in animal owners.
No word on any criminal charges from the Black Rock Police Department at this time, the investigation is still ongoing.
