Lawrence County Judge Adam Weeks id offering amnesty for those with certain warrants prior to March 31st. According to Weeks, individuals may be able to have warrants dismissed and extra fines waived along with some driving privileges reinstated.

Judge Weeks went on to say that the program will end without notice and encourages individuals to contact the District Court Office at 870-886-1140. Amnesty is being offered for Failure to Appear, Failure to Pay Fines and Violation of Hot Check warrants according to a statement by the judge. Individuals must be able to pay on the original charges to take advantage of this program.

According to the District Court Clerk “Some people may be required to make a court appearance due to possible restitution, victim’s rights or if the underlying charge carries jail time or other requirements.”
