At 4:58 a this morning, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident in Imboden with multiple injuries. The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, AET Ambulance and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office were all dispatched to the accident.

Medics and firefighters arrived to discover four injured occupants of the vehicle which lost control and struck a power pole in front of Robin’s Tire Service in Imboden. Chief Jim Jones requested a total of 4 ambulances to respond to the accident calling he injuries serious but non life threatening. Medical units from AET Ambulance of Imboden nd Walnut Ridge along with a unit from ProMed in Pocahontas arrived and transported the injured to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was sent to remove the damaged vehicle from the scene. Jones reported that a power pole was struck and was broken, Entergy was notified and responded to the scene.

Shortly before 10 am the power was turned off to enable crews to replace the damaged pole, power was restored around noon today. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
