Megan Price, former Lawrence County District Court Probation Officer has been charged with theft of prescription drugs in Lawrence County. Price who only worked for Lawrence County for a short while left and took a position in Randolph County as probation officer for several years.
Price was taken before District Judge Jason Marshall on Monday for a Bond Hearing but Judge Marshall removed himself from the hearing due to the fact that Megan Price once worked for his office. Price will appear in Lawrence County Circuit Court on January 14th, 2015 according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators also stated that the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is currently aware of another investigation into Megan Price out of Randolph County, that investigation is being handled by the Arkansas State Police and details of this investigation have not been released by the ASP.
