On Wednesday morning around 12:35 am, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident in the area of Clear Springs Road and Hwy 63 with possible injuries.

Lawrence County Deputies, Black Rock Fire Department and AET Ambulance were all dispatched to the area for assistance. Once in the area, firemen and medical crews were not able to find the wreck. Firefighters and Lawrence County Deputies searched the areas around where the caller indicated the accident occurred. Dispatch attempted to call the caller back and get responders a better location but the calls went to voicemail.

Firefighters quickly located the accident which turned out to be down Clear Springs Road over a mile and a half. Two injured occupants of the vehicle were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. Cook’s Wrecker Service was dispatched to the scene by request to remove the damaged vehicle. Firefighters quickly cleared the scene and were back in service. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. The names and extent of injuries have not been released.
