At 9:20 am Lawrence County Dispatch was notified of a five vehicle accident on Hwy 63 outside of Black Rock near the rest area at the intersection of Lawrence 298.
Black Rock, Imboden, And Walnut Ridge Fire Departments were all paged to the scene. Two of the injured were flown to area hospitals via helicopter. One of the injured was transported by ambulance. There is one known fatality.
The highway was temporarily shut down delaying traffic from approx. 9:20am to 1:15pm. . Lawrence County deputies assisted at the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
Updated: One of the vehicles ,traveling southbound, crossed the center line and struck the semi truck who was traveling northbound head on. The semi then collided with two of the other vehicles involved. The other two vehicles were hit with debris from the crash. Natosha A. Brink of Hardy was killed during the crash, she was driving one of the vehicles hit by the freight liner according to ASP.
