On 10/6/2014 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Timothy Harbin, age 32 on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
On Hwy. 67 south in Minturn a Lawrence County deputy observed Harbin throwing something out of the passenger side window of the vehicle he was riding in. While speaking with the deputy he dropped what appeared to be a soda bottle cap out of his pocket. The deputy explained that the reason for the stop was littering and that he once again had littered while speaking to him.
When Harbin picked up the bottle cap the deputy could see that is was two soda lids together and he asked Harbin what it was. Harbin admitted that it was meth.
The driver of the car consented to a search of the vehicle and nothing else was found.
Harbin was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
