Today, Lawrence County Deputies responded to a residence on SW Broad Street after learning of possible drug activity. The information came from a person in the Lawrence County jail on Public Intox charges, the subject informed deputies that several people were believed to be at his residence without permission and informed the officers of possible drug activity.
Deputies along with a K-9 responded to the residence, once there they came into contact with a Ross Flinn who stated himself, his wife and James Newman were all staying in the house. Deputies knew that Flinn was on probation, his probation officer was called. Newman was asked about any drugs in the house and immediately told the deputies he had drugs in his room. Deputies recovered meth pipes with residue, marijuana pipes with marijuana inside, digital scales, marijuana grinders and some pills said to be hydros.
Flinn’s probation officer arrived and searched his room, Flinn also admitted to the officer he had been using meth.
Newman was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with purpose to us, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone) .
