Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Black Rock Police Department and Arkansas State Police are tonight in the Black Rock area searching for a fugitive. Earlier this evening, Black Rock officers attempted to arrest Michael Sorg at a residence on North Main Street in Black Rock where he was found hiding in a shed. As the suspect was being cuffed he struggled with the officer escaping and injuring the officer, Sorg was assisted in his escape by a female identified as Ramona Broadway at the scene. Sorg is wanted on a parole violation, his original charge was Battery 2nd. The female that assisted Sorg in his escape, Ramona Broadway of Imboden was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
Officers are still on scene in the Black Rock area, Sheriff Dotson has ask anyone in the area that may have information on Michael Sorg to contact the Lawrence County Dispatch Center at 870-886-2525. Sorg is described as 5’8″ 165 lbs, Blue Eyes and Brown Hair. He was last seen in the Black Rock area on foot wearing only Brown shorts. Although no weapons were involved, Sheriff Dotson advises not to approach this suspect.
