At 7:37 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a 2 vehicle accident on Hwy 25 at Old Lebanon Cemetery. Lynn Fire Department, AET Ambulance, Medic One, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies and Arkansas State Police were all paged to the scene.

Lynn FD units were first on scene at 7:45 pm and reported one dead and 3 injured including 2 minors, it was also advised that there was entrapment involved, Lynn sent several rescue trucks to the scene. Medics requested two helicopters to respond, Hospital Wing and Air-Evac were both requested. Lynn Fire Department and Lawrence County Deputies established landing zones near the scene.

At 7:56 pm AET Ambulance checked on scene, also the Strawberry Fire Department was requested by the Lynn Fire Department. Firefighters worked to free an injured female from the wreckage as one of the injured children was flown to Memphis and the other child was transported by ambulance to St. Benards Medical Center. Once the female was freed the second helicopter was landed in a field next to the wreck, the female was loaded and transported to Memphis for treatment of her injuries.

Hwy 25 was closed to traffic until well after 10 pm as the wrecked vehicles were removed and the roadway cleaned off. The names of the victims have not been released at this time, the accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police. Wreckers from Cook’s Wrecker Service and Dail’s Wrecker Service were called to the scene to remove the vehicles.
