Black Rock and Imboden Fire along with AET Ambulance and Lawrence County Deputies are on scene at a one vehicle rollover accident with injuries.

At 6:50 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received several calls reporting the accident and stating that one person was trapped. Black Rock Fire was paged along with the ambulance, Black Rock then requested the assistance of Imboden and extrication tools. The callers were not clear which end the accident was one, Black Rock came in from Hwy 63 and Imboden Rescue 4 went to the Hwy 115 end. Lawrence County Deputies arrived first on scene advising medics in route that the patient’s injuries appeared serious, medics then request a helicopter be sent to the area.

Deputies advised a Red Ford Pickup truck was overturned near the intersection of 219 and 221. Dispatch advised the helicopter was in route with a 25 minute estimated time of arrival. As of 7:15 pm Lawrence County Deputies had Lawrence 219 (Clear Springs) closed as emergency workers attended to the injured.

At 7:24 pm the medical helicopter from Hospital Wing landed in a field near the scene and transported the injured to an area hospital. The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the name of the injured has not been released at this time.
