Runners from all around Northeast Arkansas braved the cool temps on Saturday March 29th to participate in the fund raiser at Stewart Park in Walnut Ridge.
Event organizer Ryan Cooper along with the entire ATOD staff set up water stations along the route and provided fruit and snacks for the runners. At 10 am the runners were off, it was estimated that over 100 runners participated in the event which had to be rescheduled from it’s original date due to the ice/sleet storm.
Although it was the first ATOD race, by the turnout it won’t be the last. Race organizers wished to express their thanks to the sponsors and runners. Ryan Cooper, organizer also wished to thank the Walnut Ridge Police Department, Walnut Ridge Fire Department, City of Walnut Ridge and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with the event.
