Lawrence County Deputies made a traffic stop last night on Lawrence 700 on a suspicious vehicle after officers ran the vehicle information and noticed the description of the vehicle was wrong. During the stop the officer was informed that one of the occupants was on probation for drugs. The officer then ask for permission to search the vehicle after he noticed the occupants were nervous. The driver refused to give consent to search the vehicle.
Additional officers were requested including a K-9 unit, once on scene the K-9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle. Once the search began, a firearm was discovered and 19 grams of Meth.
Scott Callahan of Bono and Taylor Fisher of Hoxie were arrested and charge with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms. The two were taken to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
