(Walnut Ridge, Ark.) – The Wings of Honor Museum is planning to take folks back to the 1950s. The museum is hosting At the Hop, a ‘50s party and dance, on Saturday, January 25, in Hoxie.
The event is a fund raiser for the World War II museum, and it will feature a 1950s meal of hamburgers and fries, as well as ‘50s music from live performers and a DJ. A soda fountain will be set up, and there will be contests for dancing and for best ‘50s costumes.
At the Hop begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Hoxie Community Center, located at 500 SW Lawrence Street. Advance tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple, and there will be door prize drawings for advance ticket holders. Advance tickets are available at Goin’ Postal in Walnut Ridge. Tickets at the door will be $40 each or $60 per couple.
