On October 29th ,the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeremy Kisling, age 36 of Alicia and Shelly Copeland, age 38, of Bono on multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance (Rx drugs)(Marijuana)(Meth) , possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

October 29, 2013 , Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies  went to the residence of  Jeremy Kisling in Alicia to make contact with Kisling in regards to a felony revocation warrant.

Shelly Copeland,  finally answered the door after several attempts of deputies knocking  and was asked  if Mr. Kisling was at the residence .

Ms. Copeland stated that she hadn’t seen him in two weeks and permission was granted by Ms. Copeland to search the residence for Mr. Kisling.

A “trap door” was located in the floor of the spare bedroom that led underneath the residence.  Further review of the “trap door” area revealed that it appeared to have been recently opened. A cell phone belonging to Mr. Kisling was located near the “trap door” as well.

Ms. Copeland was advised of our findings and was also advised that the Bono Police Department K9 unit was enroute to search below the residence. Mr. Kisling was finally located underneath the residence and placed under arrest.

A search of the residence based on a prior court conviction and sentencing of suspended imposition of sentence was given.

Deputies discovered drug paraphernalia with residue, marijuana, meth,  rx drugs, knives, and a gun during the search.

Ms. Copeland denied having any knowledge of illegal drugs being in the residence and stated she was just a friend at the residence washing laundry.

Mr. Kisling advised that the illegal drugs were not his. When asked if Ms. Copeland had brought them with her ,he stated that he was not a snitch.
