Updated: Dylan Brady, 19, of Strawberry died in the wreck according to Arkansas State Police.
Passengers, Danielle Ervin, 17, and Kyle Bristow, 22, were both injured in the crash.
At 8:35 pm on Monday night, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call from 813 Lawrence 269 reporting that a victim of a car crash had walked to their home. The caller stated that two of the three people in the victim were out but one was still in the car.
The Smithville Fire Department along with AET Ambulance of Imboden and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene. The called advised the one vehicle accident was located in the first curve of the Hwy 117 end of Lawrence 269. AET Ambulance requested a helicopter be launched, Air-Evac advised due to weather they would not be able to fly at 8:46 pm, Survival Flight was then requested and accepted the flight at 8:55 pm with a 35 minute estimated arrival. The helicopter was directed to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
At 8:49 pm, medical crews in route received word that 2 were injured and 1 was deceased on scene. AET transported one of the injured to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to meet Survival Flight. The Walnut Ridge Fire Department was paged to stand by at the helipad.
Lawrence County Deputies and the Arkansas State Police were both on scene. The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police, the names of the victims have not been released at this time.
